Experience a change in landscape. In the midlands you see daily village life and
rubber, teak, and pineapple plantations. In Munnar in the Western Ghats, the scenery
changes to fragrant tea and spice plantations, alternating with magnificent forests with
abundant wildlife. The tall trees and shady roads harbour a vast array of endemic
birds and animals. You stop at the famous Thattekkadu Bird Sanctuary, home of the
rare Sri Lankan Frogmouth. Take a bridge crossing at a lovely reservoir and finish
with refreshments at a beautiful permanent river side camp, before driving home.
