All of our day tours (except Rural Village and Nature Tour?) depart from (give exact location) at Fort Kochin.
All other tours have hotel pick up. You will need to advise us of your accommodation when you book your tour.

The Malabar Coast Tour/Coast Tour - Beach and Beyond Tour visits a temple that permits non-Hindus to enter. If you want to go inside the temple and its grounds, you will need to cover your arms and legs to meet modesty requirements. Will explore by pedals help with this?

We have a maximum group size of 12? people per tour. In case of more people, we will simply create more groups.

We cater to all levels of ability and fitness. We take it pretty easy, so even the longer day tours are within most peoples’ capability. Our tours are on the flat (no hills), but road surfaces are often uneven (and it gets warm). To counteract this we take plenty of breaks, drink a lot of water and have snacks to keep up energy. If you haven’t ridden for a while, get in touch and have a chat. After all, it’s like riding a bike

Most of our tours are deliberately planned for back roads, lanes and low traffic areas to maximise your enjoyment, comfort, relaxation and safety.

The exception is the Kochin Culture Tour which has more traffic. However, if you follow the instructions of your guide you will be able to get around with little trouble. While Indian roads seem challenging, most Kerala locals are defensive drivers and often drive slowly. However, you will still need to exercise common sense and vigilance (and follow your guide’s advice! )

Day tours - Because the Kochin Culture Tour has more traffic, we recommend it for children 13 years and over.
Younger children can come on other day tours if they are under the supervision of a responsible adult (over 21).
Long tours - Cyclists 16 years and over are permitted on long tours if they are under the supervision of a responsible adult (over 21).
On all tours, while we make every effort to ensure the safety of our tour members, we cannot be responsible for the close supervision of children and young teenagers.

In case of an individual reservation for one of our tours, it is possible to cancel free of charge. Please contact us via e-mail or by phone so we can take your name off the list.
In case of a group reservation, it is possible to cancel your reservation until 24 hours in advance. Please contact us via e-mail or by phone. If you contact us later than 24 hours before the start of the tour, we will charge the full 100%

Explore with Pedals will provide you with a (free) rain poncho, so if you like you can still go on the tour. Our tours never stop in case of rain.

Who is responsible if the bike is stolen or damaged? All bikes have an lock? What will you do about insurance?
